Cynthia Osborne serves as the director of the Child and Family Research Partnership (CFRP) at the University of Texas at Austin. The organization aims to bridge research and policy in the areas of family strengthening, adolescent development and early childhood intervention. Through CFRP, Cynthia works closely with the Texas Child Support Division to provide research and evaluation work on many of their innovative projects that aim to ensure fathers are emotionally and financially committed to their children. She also leads the evaluation of the Texas Home Visiting Program, an early intervention strategy for vulnerable families that has a special focus on increasing father engagement in family support services.
Additionally, Cynthia has evaluated several programs aimed at reducing unplanned pregnancies among teens. A considerable time of her career has also been spent interviewing young mothers and fathers to understand the realities of young parents.
