Richard M. Tolman, LMSW, PhD, is the Sheldon D. Rose Collegiate Professor of Social Work at the University of Michigan. He received his doctorate in social welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his MSW from the University of Michigan. Professor Tolman's current work with fathers includes a focus on preventing domestic violence during pregnancy and on helping men develop the ability to positively parent and partner in their relationships. He co-leads the statewide Michigan Action Plan for Father Involvement initiative initially funded by FRPN.
