Public Use Data Sets

There are many public use data sets that contain data on fathers that have yet to be analyzed. These data sets are of high-quality and are free to access. The FRPN has compiled a list of relevant public use data sets focused on fatherhood and posted brief descriptions of each.

Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study Public Use Data

This national study used a stratified random sample with 4,700 families (3,600 unwed couples and 1,100 married couples) across 21 cities. Baseline data were obtained from the biological mother and father, with follow-up interviews with both parents when the child was 12, 30 and 48 months old.
